CANADIAN PACIFIC HOLIDAY TRAIN BRINGS CHEER TO GOLDEN VALLEY
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train delivered a dose of holiday cheer in Golden Valley this week.
The train made a stop in Golden Valley on Monday near the Allianz building, at the Golden Hills Drive railway crossing. A crowd of hundreds braved the cold to listen to music and celebrate the spirit of giving.
“This is like a modern-day Norman Rockwell moment,” said Golden Valley Mayor Shep Harris. “The crowd is hyped up, we are getting into the holiday spirit.”
A band played music during the stop, while visitors celebrated the spirit of giving.
Golden Valley-based food shelf PRISM also collected donations from the crowd.
“We’ve done this for many years — we love to see the community, [the] generous community,” said Michelle Ness, executive director of PRISM. “The need is growing, so to see people here to celebrate and to give generously feels really good.”
The train will continue to make stops in Minnesota through Dec. 15. The full schedule is available here.
