The nonprofit PRISM in Golden Valley is passing along extra produce in a special drive-thru distribution on Sept. 7.
“It’s just a good way for us to give food out to the community in a really low barrier way,” said Alisha Olson from PRISM.
Olson explains that people will pull up in cars in the parking lot to collect bags of produce.
“We give them about 6-8 bags of produce. It could be apples or pears or tomatoes or watermelon,” said Olson. “All people are welcome. We don’t require any sort of income verification.”
