The Golden Valley Rotary Club received a matching grant to donate 600 snack packs of healthy snacks to the local food shelf, PRISM.
“We want kids to have healthy food. Families want healthy food, but we don’t get enough of that donated,” said Michelle Ness, executive director of PRISM and Rotary Club member. “So instead of chips, we’ve got granola bars, cheese sticks, sugar free juice and wonderful things to make sure kids can get healthy food for snack time.”
Golden Valley Rotary Club assembled 300 of the snack packs this week and will assemble 300 more next week.
